Overview
This Kreature was designed for combat in swamps and jungles. It has pearl-like osteoderms embedded in its skin which, in addition to functioning as armour, can also vibrate at super high speeds, emitting ultrasonic waves that can deflect incoming attacks. It doesn’t have the ability to unhinge its jaw, so it will rip apart large prey with its rows of razor sharp teeth. Feral specimens congregate in huge, underground hibernaculums during the winter, collectively vibrating to keep warm and signal to other Gymnodiqs in the area.
I really really enjoy Gymnodiq. It’s the first monster I’ve seen where one of the primary inspirations is a vibrator of all things. It’s a delightfully weird monster and one that I definitely wouldn’t mind having! Gymnodiq is definitely one of my top favorites in the Rank D section. 🙂
